Phoenix is the 5th Largest US City

Phoenix’s greater metropolitan area spreads over 2,000 square miles and contains more than 20 towns and cities. Phoenix has been long been considered a wonderful and for many, the perfect place, to call home and there is no doubt that the gorgeous crimson sunsets and the amazing desert and mountain views will continue to draw people to the area.

Phoenix has grown into the fifth largest city in the United States, and has been enjoyed by a variety of different types of people throughout its history, including ranchers, miners, and visionaries.  Part of Phoenix’s allure and beauty come from the three surrounding mountains: South Mountain, Camelback Mountain, and Piestewa Peak. However, the city itself, is only 1,117 feet above sea level.

Phoenix has transformed from a quiet, simple place to a city where you can elect to enjoy resorts and spas and championship golf courses, or where you can simply sit on the patio and enjoy the view. Despite the fact that it has a number of urban amenities in it, Phoenix has a great deal of open land and the Phoenix real estate prices are quite moderate, which is why this city has been and will likely continue to be one of the most livable places in the southwest US.

Head to downtown Phoenix and you can enjoy things like the Phoenix Convention Center, the Phoenix Symphony, and a variety of theaters, hip restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries. In the north, however, at the Valley of the Sun, you can enjoy a more western way of living and a more laid back approach to live. The East Valley features cities like Tempe, Mesa, and Gilbert, and is the home of Arizona State University in Tempe as well. The city of Phoenix has a great deal to offer anyone who opts to live or visit there, and is where you can find the best of the best in regards to the southwestern lifestyle.
