Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty Announces New CEO,
New President/Designated Broker, Additional Management Changes
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (Oct. 6, 2009) – Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty, Arizona’s dominant resident real estate company in the luxury market, today announced that two veteran industry executives are being promoted to new roles within the privately-held company. Both of these individuals bring a wealth of industry expertise, vision and inspiring leadership to their respective endeavors.
“I’m proud to announce the promotion of Glenn Niere as the new CEO and Deems Dickinson as the new President and Designated Broker of Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty,” said John Vatistas, Co-Owner of the firm. “Glenn is taking over the reins as CEO after his successful role as President and Deems is moving up from his profitable turn as Branch Manager of the Waterfront office.”
With nearly three decades of executive experience, Niere brings extensive expertise in finance, management and marketing to Russ Lyon Sotheby’s International Realty. “Glenn is known as a visionary in business and marketing and he’s committed to incorporating cutting-edge technological tools into the fabric of the firm’s character and client-centric programs,” added Vatistas. “Over the last two decades, Deems has earned the respect of his colleagues through his increasingly responsible appointments and his service to the industry, including his commitment as both a member and chairperson of the Arizona Association of Realtors® Professional Standards Committee.”
Prior to the promotion of Niere and Dickinson, the firm’s CEO also held the role of Designated Broker. “By separating these two positions and aligning the President’s responsibilities with those of the Designated Broker, we’re strengthening the foundation of the company and creating a more streamlined focus as we propel the firm into 2010 and beyond,” said Niere. “We have a lot of dedication and tenure on this team and our potency and power from both a brokerage and an operational standpoint is exponentially increased with this move.”
Dickinson, who began his real estate career in 1979 with Russ Lyon, agrees, explaining that his focus as President and Designated Broker will be on a continuation of the firm’s well-known reputation for agent advocacy and agent support, all in an unprecedented culture of cooperation. “These moves are extremely positive for the company, because as the market continues to recover and rebound, we will be strategically positioned with an exceptionally strong, experienced and innovative leadership team.”
